BingX VIP tiers explained (and when the referral discount beats them)

I earn a commission when you register on BingX through my link, and the product I sell is a discount on the standard fee. So a post about the VIP ladder is a post about my competition: the exchange's own way of charging you less. Read it with that in mind. Every rate and threshold below was copied from BingX's VIP page on 4 September 2026, and the page is linked at the end so you can check.
The short version: the ladder is real, the discounts at the top are large, and almost nobody reading this qualifies for the bottom rung of it.
The ladder: eight levels, two markets
BingX has one set of VIP levels that apply across the account. The rates differ by market. This is the perpetual futures schedule, the one that matters for most active traders.
| Level | Perp maker | Perp taker |
|---|---|---|
| Regular user | 0.0200% | 0.0500% |
| Elite | 0.0180% | 0.0450% |
| VIP 1 | 0.0140% | 0.0400% |
| VIP 2 | 0.0120% | 0.0375% |
| VIP 3 | 0.0100% | 0.0350% |
| VIP 4 | 0.0080% | 0.0315% |
| VIP 5 | 0.0060% | 0.0300% |
| Supreme VIP | 0.0000% | 0.0250% |
And spot, where the entry rate is much higher and the ladder steeper:
| Level | Spot maker | Spot taker |
|---|---|---|
| Regular user | 0.1000% | 0.1000% |
| Elite | 0.0500% | 0.0800% |
| VIP 1 | 0.0350% | 0.0600% |
| VIP 2 | 0.0200% | 0.0500% |
| VIP 3 | 0.0150% | 0.0450% |
| VIP 4 | 0.0125% | 0.0375% |
| VIP 5 | 0.0100% | 0.0325% |
| Supreme VIP | 0.0050% | 0.0200% |
Two things stand out. On perpetuals the taker side barely moves until the very top: Regular pays 0.05%, VIP 3 pays 0.035%, and even Supreme VIP still pays 0.025%. The maker side is where the ladder gives most of its value away, all the way to zero. On spot the first step is the big one: Elite halves the maker fee in one move.
What it takes to get there
Each level has three doors and you only need one: 30-day futures volume, 30-day spot volume, or the value of the assets you held on the exchange yesterday. All figures in USDT.
| Level | 30-day futures volume | 30-day spot volume | Asset value |
|---|---|---|---|
| Elite | 5,000,000 | 500,000 | not offered |
| VIP 1 | 10,000,000 | 1,000,000 | 50,000 |
| VIP 2 | 20,000,000 | 2,000,000 | 200,000 |
| VIP 3 | 50,000,000 | 4,000,000 | 1,000,000 |
| VIP 4 | 100,000,000 | 6,000,000 | 2,000,000 |
| VIP 5 | 200,000,000 | 8,000,000 | 3,000,000 |
| Supreme VIP | 500,000,000 | 15,000,000 | not offered |
BingX notes that for VIP 4 and above, API-driven trading can be at most 20% of the qualifying volume, and that futures volume includes adjusted volume from non-crypto products. Levels are recalculated on rolling 30-day windows, so a quiet month drops you back down.
Read the first row again. The lowest rung, Elite, needs five million dollars of futures notional in a month, or half a million on spot. A trader turning over $200,000 a month, which is a genuinely active retail account, is one twenty-fifth of the way to the bottom of the ladder. The asset door is the realistic one for most people who ever qualify: $50,000 held on the exchange gets VIP 1 without any volume at all.
What each level costs you a year
Fees are charged per fill on the notional value, and the site's arithmetic is single-side throughout: annual cost = monthly notional × rate × 12. A round trip is two fills, so double these if you think that way. Perpetuals, half the volume as maker and half as taker.
| Monthly perp volume | Regular | VIP 1 | VIP 3 | VIP 5 | Supreme |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| $200,000 | $840 | $648 | $540 | $432 | $300 |
| $10,000,000 | $42,000 | $32,400 | $27,000 | $21,600 | $15,000 |
| $200,000,000 | $840,000 | $648,000 | $540,000 | $432,000 | $300,000 |
The first row is the one to be honest about: it shows what the tiers would save a $200,000-a-month trader, but that trader does not qualify for any of them. The ladder starts at the second row.
Where a halved standard rate sits on the ladder
This is the part I have a stake in, so here is the whole calculation rather than the flattering half of it.
Registering on BingX through the RebateMax referral code halves the standard fee, permanently, applied by the exchange on every fill. On perpetuals that is 0.01% maker and 0.025% taker. On spot it is 0.05% both sides. Place those on the ladder above:
- Perp taker, 0.025%: that is the Supreme VIP taker rate, the top of the ladder, which needs $500,000,000 of monthly futures volume. Every level below Supreme pays more per taker fill than a Regular user on the referral discount.
- Perp maker, 0.010%: that is the VIP 3 maker rate, which needs $50,000,000 a month or $1,000,000 in assets. VIP 4, 5 and Supreme beat it on the maker side.
- Spot, 0.05% / 0.05%: the maker side matches Elite and the taker side matches VIP 2, which needs $2,000,000 of monthly spot volume or $200,000 in assets.
In annual dollars, same 50/50 perpetual mix:
| Monthly perp volume | Regular | Regular, halved | Best tier you qualify for |
|---|---|---|---|
| $200,000 | $840 | $420 | none: $840 |
| $10,000,000 | $42,000 | $21,000 | VIP 1: $32,400 |
| $200,000,000 | $840,000 | $420,000 | VIP 5: $432,000 |
So the honest ranking is this. Below $5,000,000 a month there is no tier to compare against; the discount is the only lever on the fee line. From VIP 1 to VIP 5, at a balanced maker-taker mix, the halved standard rate is still cheaper than the tier, because the ladder gives away maker fees and holds on to taker fees. The tiers win in two cases: a maker-heavy book, where the ladder's cheap maker side finally pays — VIP 5 overtakes the halved rate once more than about 56% of your fills are maker, and VIP 4 not until about 76% — and Supreme VIP, which beats the halved rate on both sides at any mix.
One thing I have not verified, and will not guess at: how BingX applies the referral discount to an account that also holds a VIP level. The comparison above treats them as alternatives, which is the conservative reading. If they stack, the tier question goes away and the discount simply comes off whichever rate you have earned. I will update this post when I can state it from the exchange's own terms, not before.
The thing the ladder does not show
VIP levels are recalculated on 30-day windows. Volume-based tiers are a treadmill: the month you slow down is the month your fee goes back up, usually the same month you can least afford it. The asset door does not have that problem, but it means keeping $50,000 or more sitting on one exchange, and that is a custody decision, not a fee decision. Is BingX safe? covers the 2024 breach and the licensing picture; read it before you park six figures anywhere to save basis points.
The referral discount has the opposite shape: it does nothing extra for you at high volume, and it does not fall off when you have a quiet month. That is why I think it is the right default for anyone under the Elite threshold and a genuine choice, not an automatic one, above it.
What to do with this
- Pull your last 30 days of BingX trades and sum the fee column. Divide by notional. That is your effective rate; the schedule above tells you which row you are actually on.
- If your monthly futures notional is under $5,000,000 and you hold under $50,000 on the exchange, no tier is available to you. The fee calculator shows what halving the standard rate is worth at your volume.
- If you are above those lines, work out your maker share. Under about 55% maker, the halved standard rate is cheaper than every tier below Supreme. Above that, VIP 5 is the first tier to overtake it (around 56% maker); VIP 4 does not until roughly 76%, and VIP 3 and below never do.
- Whatever you decide, check the numbers against BingX's own page, linked below. Fee schedules change and this post is dated.

Pay less on every trade, on either venue
BingX with code PI6DMC2R returns half your fees for life. LBank through our link prices perpetuals at 0.0015% maker / 0.003% taker. Both applied at the exchange, nothing paid to us.
