What this token is

What it is. TROLL is a Trollface memecoin on Solana — a community token built around one of the oldest faces on the internet. Its first liquidity pool dates to April 2025 by our measurement.

The story. Trollface is the grinning MS-Paint face drawn in 2008 by Oakland artist Carlos Ramirez, known on DeviantArt as Whynne, for a rage comic about trolling. It became one of the defining memes of the early internet. In September 2025, reporting by Decrypt described a six-figure deal in which Ramirez granted the token's team, Troll Network Limited, an exclusive worldwide licence to Trollface within the crypto space, with an 11% royalty on merchandise revenue. When we first covered TROLL we had not seen that licence and said so; we cite the deal as press reporting, not as something we verified ourselves.

What it is for. Nothing beyond culture — and the project says so itself. TROLL is a social token about meme heritage, not a product with utility, and its own listing pages state it has no intrinsic value. That honesty is unusual for the category.

One caution. At least two other Solana tokens trade under the name TROLL. Verify the mint address on this page, not the ticker.

The story above is context from public sources, named in-text. It is not part of the checklist and nothing in it is a recommendation. The figures below are ours.
